Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts is an interdisciplinary arts hub connecting University of Sussex with Brighton & Hove and the wider national and international arts communities. The centre presents a programme including performance, dance, live art, film, contemporary and classical music, family events, installation, discussion & debate and digital or lens based practices.
The programme and the work at ACCA is guided by the values championed by Richard Attenborough (former chancellor of University of Sussex) in his life and work: human rights, social justice, creative education and access to the arts for all. Michael Attenborough is the patron of Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.
ACCA supports innovation in research, teaching and community engagement through its artistic programmes and artist residencies and works closely with the University of Sussex and wider arts and culture partners to create new work and engage with a range of audiences.
