This concert marks the return of the University of Sussex Symphony Orchestra (USSO) which has unfortunately not been able to get together since March 2020 due to COVID. We will be playing a range of different genres in this concert, from Pirates of the Caribbean to Beethoven’s Symphony 7.
As it has been a while since many of us have been able to perform together with other musicians, we have decided to ease back into orchestral music with varying difficulty and themes in order to showcase how diverse the repertoire can be and keep everyone on their toes.
There will also be a short performance by a student-created quartet who have recently gotten together and are excited to have the opportunity to perform in this concert! If you’re lucky enough, we might even indulge in some Christmas festivities to spice it up, so be prepared!
