New Note Orchestra - Kind Rebellion
New Note Orchestra support people affected by addiction.
They will be showcasing their new album Kind Rebellion and will be discussing how kindness underpins recovery.
Join New Note Orchestra for an evening of music and conversation exploring how small acts of kindness can make you happy and improve your wellbeing.
New Note Orchestra will be performing their album Kind Rebellion which will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by Professor Robin Banerjee, head of the Kindness Research Department at University of Sussex. The panel will include leading kindness research experts and kindness campaigners. They will explore how small acts of kindness can dramatically improve our lives and the positive effect they have on our brains.
The musicians within New Note Orchestra are all in recovery from addiction and all have fascinating stories to tell about how music has helped to heal them. The musicians are united in both their love of music and their desire to belong to a community of like-minded people they can rely on for support and friendship without judgment.
Recovery takes patience, tolerance and kindness. Kind Rebellion is an album created by conductor Conall Gleeson and the New Note Orchestra inspired by the idea that kindness is the cornerstone of ongoing sobriety.
The New Note Orchestra will also be joined by the Kind Rebellion string quartet.
The show will be directed by Angus Cameron.
