About
Planningtorock’s Genderqueer Dance Party
#ACCADigital
Electronic artist and producer Planningtorock presents a reworked set with material drawn from the acclaimed new album Powerhouse, performed together with artist and producer Simonne Jones. This event will premiere previously unheard intimate acoustic interpretations of Powerhouse tracks (for which the electronic studio process has been dismantled, resulting in a new, raw presentation of the work).
Powerhouse is Planningtorock's most personal record yet: emotionally-charged, with biographical anthems drawn from their lived experiences as a non-binary artist, experiences around family, identity and music itself.
The performance will be a prelude to the future release Powerhouse Unplugged – Live from the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.
YaYa Bones is the musical moniker of multi-disciplinary artist, witch and healer Ayesha Tan-Jones. Coining their genre 'dream n bass', YaYa Bones makes protest music for witches, fusing opera melodies with earth core beats and ritual rhythms.
Stay after the main event for a genderqueer dance party with a set from their guest S/HE (Tomboys Don't Cry).
