Returning from their recent tour to Bohemia, Brighton Youth Orchestra and Brighton & Hove Youth Percussion Ensemble will perform a diverse programme that showcases the best of local talent in a celebration of young music making.
Brighton Youth Orchestra (BYO) was founded in 1949 and its membership is drawn entirely from local schools and colleges. BYO has performed at the Brighton Festival and in the Dome most years since 1963, and has toured throughout Europe and to Canada, the USA, Hong Kong and Macau.
Brighton & Hove Youth Percussion Ensemble consists of approximately 10 players and performs a wide range of musical styles featuring pitched, unpitched, body and junk percussion instruments.
